WHAT’S HAPPENING IN 2008

The committee is planning the following machine knitting events for 2008

Lancefield Knitting Camp
After the successful Lancefield weekend for 2007, many members have expressed the wish for another Live-in Weekend for 2008.  So you will be pleased to know Lancefield has been booked from the 30th May to 1st June 2008. 
By all accounts these weekends are fantastic.  Bring your knitting problems and hopefully get them solved. There will be mini demonstrations. There will be Brother, Singer and Passap machines on site or bring your own machine and go for it with other knitters.  We suggest you bring some yarn. Bring a knitted item and get suggestions for improving your knitting.  If you have any queries ring or write to  Lynette Bickley P.O. Box 32, Elmore Vic. 3558 or Phone 03 54326175 or fax 03 54326415.
Last year, comments were received included such words as inspirational, good food, great weekend, good friends and good fellowship etc. So, take the plunge and join in for 2008.

Seminar for 2009.
On behalf of the Seminar Committee I would like to announce that the MKAV Inc will host the Victorian Seminar 2009. The Seminar will be held on Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th 2009 at the Hemisphere Conference Centre in Moorabbin.
There will be excellent demonstrations from our tutors, traders so you can spend all those extra dollars everyone has, and a great time to catch up with friends from all over Australia and just relax!!

The Final General Meeting for 2008 is scheduled for:-

Saturday 18th October 2008 at 11am at Pascoe Vale Uniting Church, Corner of Kent and Cornwall Streets Pascoe Vale.

The Moonee Ponds Machine Knitting Club will be hosting this General Meeting at their child secure venue. The committee hopes that the trail change of venue for one meeting, will enable working people, mothers with children and members in the Western suburbs to attend a General Meeting.


Please bring a small plate of food for a shared lunch at these meetings.
