Mobile Phone Holder
Rug up your Mobile Too!

• Machine: Any standard gauge machine.
• Tension: 26.5st and 44.5 rows to 20cm 3/3
• Yarn: Approx. 100 g 3 ply yarn.
• Other item: Small pieces of velcro.

• Pattern: St.St. or pattern of your choice, but recalculate sts & rows to get the same measurements as diagrams.
• Shaping note: All increases and decreases for the mobile holder piece are fully fashioned.
• Pocket: Cast on L16, R17. Knit 62 rows, CAR. Set carriage to hold. At the opposite end to the carriage, put 2 ndls into holding position over the next 6 rows. At the opposite end to the carriage bring 2 needles back into wp over the next 6 rows (74 rows). Knit 1 row, using waste yarn knit 10 rows and release from machine.

  Flap: Cast on 22 sts, K56 rows. Cast off.

• Mobile Holder: Cast on L33 sts and R34 sts. K1 row. Fashion increase 1st at each end of the next row, K1 row. Increase 1st each end of the next row, K3 rows. Increase 1st at each end of the next row. On next row, transfer L16 and R17 sts onto holding comb (33sts). Pick up last row of pocket and hook onto needles, then replace sts from holding comb back onto same needles. Continue to K to RC 64. Decrease 1st at each end of the next row, K3 rows. Decrease 1st at each end of the next row, K1 row. Decrease 1st at each end of the next row. Knit 1 row. Cast off.

• To make up: With right side up, sew velcro to top (unshaped) end of pocket. Laying mobile holder flat, right side up, sew pocket sides to mobile holder leaving top free. With wrong side up, sew velcro to flap at one end (if you have used a st. pattern, make sure it is the right way up!). Place flap in the middle of mobile holder, in line with velcro at the top of the pocket, attach to mobile holder at cast off edge. With mobile holder still flat with right side up, place a piece of velcro on the left hand side of the piece, and at the other end place the velcro on the underside of the piece so it matches with the other end.
