Book Reviews from the NE Victoria Club
Moreno, Jullian & Singer, Amy R.: Big Girl Knits:
I really enjoyed looking through this book. Some great knits and styling. I was looking for something simple and practical. Shelley Younger
Teresa Dair : Knitted My Way:
Beautiful unique pieces, provided lots of inspiration. However, I didn’t think that my standard gauge machine would work these pieces. Leah Carson
Elena Berenghean : Lace and Open Fabrics:
I loved this book, the experience of learning to hand manipulate stitches and add more design to the fabric was inspiring. Lesley Menere
Various : Chunky Punch Card Patterns:
Only having 5 punchcards that came with my machine, I just loved the variety of patterns available in this book to enable me to experiment with more designs. Lesley Menere
Alison Dupernex : Designing with colour:
This was instrumental in inspiring me to knit a jacket. Her simple explanation of instructions and designs were very helpful to achieve the result I was looking for. If you love colour and are wanting to knit something creative, this book is definitely worth a look. Charmane Bennett
